JULY 25, 1997- FEBRUARY 27, 2008
"JAKE"
Jake is the first Toller we purchased in 1997 and he is
the one I credit with introducing me to many of the
facets of the dog world. He was purchased as a show
dog even though at the time I knew very little about
showing dogs. I had only ever done very limited
showing with our previous dog Tyler, a Golden Retriever.
I quickly came to realize that conformation was
something that I truly enjoyed. Jake on the other hand
felt that there was other things he could be doing with
his time!! We did however manage to get his
championship title by the time he was 15 months,with a
few big wins along the way.
It was shortly after completing his championship that I
realized that Jake had to have a job!! Thus we ventured
into the world of Field work. Jake had found his one true
love in life and I was not about to deny him his greatest
pleasure. So with a whole new world to explore and not
alot of spare time to do it in Jake and I have managed to
expand our horizons once again.
We also dabbled in both Agility and Competative
Obedience but it became very obvious that Jake only
loved the field and so that is what we have stuck with
for him.
